09/10/14: Animal Shelter Limits Intake of Animals

Citrus County Animal Services continues to be OVER CAPACITY and will only accept owner surrendered animals when space is available. Please call 746-8400 during normal business hours prior to bringing your pet to the shelter to inquire about surrendering your pet.

Pet owners are encouraged and should ask friends and family for help in finding caring homes for their pets they no longer wish to keep or care for. Other options include using social media and or placing ads in newspapers. You may also wish to check with local rescue groups.
