How Can I Help?
People want to help our animals and often ask what they can do. Many people can't foster pets due to time restrictions or pets at home that don't like the idea of a new-comer visiting.
These are some items that are always needed:
- Bath towels, throw rugs without backing, newspaper
- Hard rubber dog balls, toys
- Paper towels
- Bleach
- Canned cat food with pop top lids
- Dishwashing soap
Other Ways
- If you know someone struggling financially, offer to help them spay or neuter their pet before unwanted puppies and kittens are born! There are several low cost programs available. Please call our office for more information.
- Volunteers for photographing pets for adoption
- Gardening
- Filing
- Data entry
- Copying and general office work
- AND PEOPLE TO JUST WALK DOGS
- We'd also welcome a dedicated and knowlegeble volunteer interested in dispatch services.
- Foster families that can provide short term care for some of our special pets.
Thanks to the Commissioners and community support, our sheltered pets get the best care possible from a team of dedicated professionals!
