Canine Obedience Training
All Adoptive Parents!
Our next Obedience Class will be starting on September 16, 2010. This will be a six week class which will run from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. All citizens must present the following items to Animal Services before they will be allowed to attend the class:
- Completed Obedience class registration form
- Current Rabies Vaccination
- Proof of county License
These classes are FREE to anyone who has adopted a dog from our shelter.
Items you will need to have in the class are:
- a 6 foot leash
- a collar that works well with your dog
- training treats are recommended
- wear proper walking shoes
- drinking water for you and your pet
| Our Obedience Classes have been a great success. Our students not only learned the basics of sit, stay & down - many also mastered the agility course, the teeter totter, and various jumps and weave poles just to name a few. The pictures below are from our February 2009 class. | |||
